Many office workers are unknowingly exposed to significant levels of toxic chemicals which have been linked to reproductive, developmental, liver and immune problems in animals and people. Offices account for more than a third of a type of toxic chemical called PFCs in people’s blood. Newer buildings and newly renovated offices contain higher levels of PFCs in the air than do older buildings.
